SUVERIA condemns all forms of animal captivity, exploitation and mistreatment of cetaceans.
Captive cetaceans used for entertainment and “educational” purposes are a harsh reality all around the world. As a vegan luxury brand for the environmentally conscious, compassionate fashionable, we are committed to a culture of compassion towards all sentient beings.
After our founder Suveria Mota watched Blackfish - a documentary on the realities of the seaquarium industry - and being left with an incredible profound impact that led to a vegan lifestyle SUVERIA was conceptualized. Merging our love for elegant luxury and compassion towards sentient beings are intrinsically intertwined at our brand.
While many countries have banned or are phasing out the use of cetaceans for entertainment purposes, there’s still more to be done. Through the SUVERIA Foundation, we’ve started to support organizations that are helping to change legislation and or bring awareness of reforming cetacean laws to better protect them. Keeping cetaceans safe and free in their natural habitat out in the ocean, is our goal.
The SUVERIA Foundation aims to create awareness campaigns, social events, provide educational materials on cetaceans in captive seaquariums and why science backed research shows that these incredibly smart beings deserve to live their lives out in the wild. Compassionate elegance is the belief that we can be both stylish and aware of our impact on the planet and others.
