My vegan journey started in the summer of 2015 after I watched the documentary Blackfish. I had known about it, but hadn't taken the time to watch it. Little did I know, that, that documentary would help pivot my life in a new direction.

I had and never had attended Sea World or other Seaquariums, as I always saw them as barbaric and antiquated. I never felt as if those glorious beings actually wanted to perform.

I have vivid dreams of watching Free Willy as a young tween, and the idea of watching in person a captive whale, never sounded good to me. Fast forward to 2015 after watching the documentary and I immersed myself in any social media account that promoted cetacean release efforts. Soon enough, I stumbled across Empty The Tanks an organization that holds a worldwide #EmptyTheTanks campaign.

Right on cue because the universe works in mysterious ways, I was able to be part of it.
